I haven't been on my island in forever. 1 year and 4 months to be exact according to my villagers. . I kept seeing updates and I decided to install them and go check in on my island. I have some free time. Why not?

The first thing I did was check my mail.

I had a letter from "Mom."

My mom passed away in March of this year. I had to take her off life support and it is hands down the hardest thing I have ever had to do. This week in particular has been rough on me. She passed away one month before my birthday. It was nice to see that in a way, she was still able to celebrate with me.

I started crying even more when I got to my closet. I used to send pictures of the outfits I got for my character and she loved them. There was a day I forgot, and I got a text from her saying, "hey, where's my outfit?"

Tulips were her favorite flower. I remember planting a whole bunch on the island just for her. It was nice to be reminded of her through the game. Sherb missed me too. :)

Side note: I just realized it's been exactly 8 months since she passed away. I definitely think I was meant to get on AC today!

Edit: wow! I fell asleep, and I woke up to awards and a lot of touching stories. Thank y'all so much. Thank you for letting me share my story and sharing yours as well. ❤️
